Classic, clean, modern with a touch of warmth and a splash of color. Sometimes this combo can be too sharp for my tastes but I think this space gets it just right. Hope you're having a good week and happy hump day!

Once again! I am back! I've been so busy with college and finals that I've totally neglected this blog, but I'm on winter break now. Hopefully, that will allow for some more updates for at least the next couple of weeks or at least until the Winter quarter begins. As you can all see, I've switched up the layout. Yes, it's pink! Don't like PINK? Well, too bad, because I got some hot love for PINK!
Moving along though, life's been really good overall minus my lack of sleep. I've been sleeping at 3am almost everyday. I'm shocked my dark circles haven't gotten worse by now. I'm slowly making up the sleep though. As usual, I've been doing a lot of shopping, but I need to be banned from shopping after the holidays! So..pictures and details. Of course all this is cumulative over the past month.
I got a 25% discount at the Coach store in the mail and this is what I got! I LOVE LOVE my Sabrina purse, and I've gotten so many compliments on it carrying it around. The two pairs of shoes were on sale in stores, so with the discount it was a steal!
After reading about it, I picked up both of these products at my local Japanese beauty store. For those who live in the San Gabriel Valley area, the store is called Takishima, which is located right next to the 99 Ranch plaza. The egg mask was $5.99 and the Lucido wax was $8.99, so the prices are pretty decent. I haven't been using both of the products enough to state my opinion, but I will for sure talk about it some more once I get around to using it some more.
And finally, this is a collection of makeup/beauty products I've gotten in the past month.
Urban Decay Lipstick in 'Pistol' Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in 'Pearl Plum' Missha Shine Stick Shadows in 'BL301', 'BL302', 'GR302' Missha Eye Glam Powder in 'Grass Green' China Glaze Nail Polish in 'Ruby Pumps' MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Duo in 'Light Medium/Shimmer' Sugar 'Round The Clock Palette Stila Eyeshadow Duos in 'Salome', 'Lily', 'Vieux Carre', 'Fandango', 'Kajiki', 'Mara Simba'
The Stila duos I got in a set for less than $20 at Costco. I'm not sure if they have it around anymore, but if you are able to get your hands on a set, they are great stocking stuffers for the holidays! I will be doing a review on the Urban Decay Lipstick and the Revlon lip gloss soon. I'm still trying to figure how I want to do it.
That's pretty much it for my shopping news this blog post. In other news, I really need to start my Christmas shopping. So much for trying to get it done earlier this year! It shall be fun nonetheless because I freakin' love Christmas shopping. I love the holiday spirit and the dazzling decorations! Bring it on! If only it could be the holiday season all the time. I wish!
Anyhow, I've got to go unpack all my crap I brought home from the dorms for the break. I brought back my freakishly large amount of clothes. I doubt I'm going to wear it all, and I still have tons of clothes hanging in my closet at home right now. Oh well! So that's all for now! Peace & Love!

Title: Ashley's Winter Break
As winter break approaches, Ashley plans to spend the rare free time relaxing with her friends at her family's private ranch. Located deep in the wilderness, the cabins and farm are a perfect vacation place, far from the stress of college classes and media attention. However, her father President Graham refuses to let her go without a huge security detail of secret service agents. Wanting a break from that unrelenting supervision as well, Ashley contacts the one special agent she knows she can count on to rescue her from her predicament.... The one who still needs a vacation: Agent Leon S. Kennedy. Please watching in High Quality, enjoy! :) We've always wanted to do an after-mission reunion between Leon and Ashley, and we also wanted something fun and cute for Valentine's Day... so the two ideas seemed like a perfect fit. Our clothes and accessories were chosen in the tradition of RE's unlockable alternate character costumes, the idea behind ours being a cute "winter outfit" for Ashley and a "great outdoors outfit" for Leon. We included some behind the scenes clips/out-takes at the end for fun. ^_^ -Special Thanks- To Jo for letting us film at her cabins, and to the whole Riot Gun Crew for filming in freezing cold conditions while we were on our own (far too short) vacation! You guys rock!! :D Happy (early) Valentines Day to all my wonderful friends and subscribers! +Riot Gun Productions+ *Resident Evil and all Resident Evil characters are trademarked by CAPCOM*
Title: Winter Break
Matt (Milo Ventimiglia) has just graduated college. Time to join the work force and be an adult, right? Not! His best friend, Peter (Eddie Kaye Thomas) and wild school buddies convince him to winter in Aspen instead. This hilarious no holds barred vacation takes an unexpected turn when Matt falls in love with Michelle (Maggie Lawson) and must decide between money and career or following his heart. Buckle your bindings for the coolest party fest of the year!
I can't believe it's already time to sign off for the holidays, but alas, the time is here. I'm working up until Christmas Eve but I still have lots to prepare for including more wrapping! B and I will be spending the holidays with our family in Atlanta and then we're spending New Years with my brother in Dallas, Texas. I can't wait!
I'm sure I'll popping in with a few quick posts before the New Year (you know I could never stay away for too long) but I'm looking to take a substantial break from the blog until January 3rd. Thank you for all the love and kindness you've shown me this past year. It's been a good ride. I wish you and your families a safe, happy holiday season and I hope all of your holiday dreams come true. xoxo
'Promises mean everything when you're little and the world is so big'
Everclear's Wonderful
The world is huge, experiences range from microscopically tiny to undeniably life-changing. Life is like a stormy sea with alternating periods of deceptive calm and back-breaking turmoil, and in this sea that is life, each person is one ridiculously small and powerless boat. In order to ride out the storm, we need to have an anchor, something to hold onto and to keep us from sinking in times of great trial. Sir Thomas More said,
'I'm anchored, to my principles'
-A Man For All Seaons
In times of great turmoil, our beliefs are whaxt should keep us grounded. I am not even saying solely religious beliefs either. I just feel strongly that we should believe in something good outside of ourselves. A boat does not have a brake, something within itself to help it face the strength of the sea- it has an anchor, something outside of itself that is rooted and strong enough to support the ship until calm is restored. Even in times of calm, the presence of the anchor gives the captain reassurance. Having a belief in something powerful and beautiful reassures you in times of calm and gives you something to fall back on in hard times.
I believe in God, love and hope. I am not blindly optimistic; I do not think that everything is perfect or that bad things do not and will not happen. I do believe though that somehow, in the end things will be okay, and that all I need is the strength to see the situation through. Rarely do people go looking for hardship, but it exists any way so the best thing you can do is face it. I am a strong believer of the whole '' what doesn't kill you makes you stronger approach" and this, combined with the hope of a better day, keeps me going each day.
So if you don't already, I really suggest believing in something. Let it be something larger and more powerful than yourself. Let it be something than is immortal and is unlikely to be hurt by the currents of change. But most importantly, let it be something that resonates with you.
Love you all and Stay inspired,
P.S. So let me know what you think. What is your anchor and what are your beliefs? Feel free to let me know in the comments below.

In keeping with Indie Appreciation Week, here are some of my favorite indie-related songs. Some of them are by undiscovered/independent musicians, some of them have certain musical qualities (usually acoustic/ primarily vocal leanings) that lend them to being classified as "indie", and the rest of them are just songs that I feel somehow celebrate being independent. I'm also borrowing the idea of Krissy from Shimmer Like Gold, and have included links
to a complete playlist of all the songs on youtube that I will link to at the bottom of this post. Feel free to play these songs while cross-training your art, doing chores/ homework, or doing nothing at all but relaxing. Remember that if you feel constrained by the walls, there's no time like the summer to take full advantage of the great outdoors.
I hope these songs send you to your happy and proud to be independent place too :)
P.S. So let me know what you think. What are some hidden jewel bands that make you feel empowered, or moved? What kind of music moves you most? Feel free to let me know in the comments below.
