I've been uipdating a lot of my website pages with new real-life weddings and adding new images to a lot of the original posts from the past 12 months.
More and more prospective brides wish to see as many photographs as possible from a wedding, so having 20 or so images on display from each wedding on this BLOG seems a good way to display the kind of photographs I produce from my great weddings!
I try to vary the images too from the website wedding to the BLOG version of the wedding. My wedding BLOG (online diary, the one you are reading now...) has many more up to date completed weddings than the website - and I try to post a sneak peak of every wedding the following Wednesday.
However, I still have about five wedding to post, so now that the website and BLOG updates are slowing down, I will endeavor to upload the 'missing' weddings!
Enjoy the additional photographs from Catherine's great wedding at Crathorne Hall!
If you would like to invite me to be your official wedding photographer for your wedding at Crathorne Hall - or anywhere else, please ring for FREE on 0800 804 7270 or my mobile on 0778 7150966

Samantha wanted a custom design on her aisle runner that had ornaments put together in a cross formation with their names and date. I put together a few proposals for her and she ultimately decided on this one. We added a touch of the red color she was using for her flowers and dresses and the end result is just perfect!
Because weddings are transitioning more into personalized events, rather than traditional proceedings, it's key for brides and grooms to find their ideal blend of modern day trend to everyday wedded tradition. So, what better way to do this than by customizing your time-honored wedding day accessories with your own personalized style?
One accessory that does this beautifully, is the customary "rolling out of the red carpet" aisle runner. Because every bride dreams of that magical moment when the doors open and she walks down towards the man of her dreams, it's important to make the grand entrance count! And nothing will punctuate your entrance more beautifully than one of our Personalized Aisle Runners.
Fashioned in white, non-woven rayon for traditional look, each of our countless aisle runners is individually crafted for every bride and groom. Available in a variety of accent colors, designs and layouts, our runners become an even more one of a kind keepsake when couples add their names, monogram, initials and wedding date to the design of their choice!
Then, with the free personalization intact, newlyweds will be ready to place it down and roll it out for the big day celebration. Because each runner comes kitted with adhesive strip backing for placement and pull cord for easy extension down the aisle, it's no wonder why this has become an instant best seller!
Measuring 36 inches wide by 100 feet long, these ceremony essentials are designed to fit any aisle, and because the personalization is placed 8 feet from the top, photographers will easily be given a stand-out focal point to capture on the day you say "I do."
But don't let the fun end there! Really let your creativity run wild and line the aisle with petals, tulle, twinkle lights or even candles for added romance. Because it has a look that works just as beautifully inside a traditional church, as it does outside surrounded by nature, you'll see how easily you can instantly transform any location into a ceremony-ready site.
And for even more ways to create an all-around unified theme - check out our long list of matching products that will have your guests: Wedding banners, table runners, photo booth backdrops, cake toppers and surround your wedding day with personalized décor that's all about you!
It truly is exciting to see a wedding day come together, and Personalized Aisle Runners are one way to take your ceremony from ordinary to extraordinary. Thanks for watching and cheers to many years of happiness!
Genealogy is a long-running hobby of mine, so I knew I wanted to incorporate our family trees into elements of our wedding. Family trees and old family photos can show up pretty much anywhere in a wedding, and they are a great way to honor those married before you.

Title: Soul Coughing - Lazybones
Artiste : Soul Coughing Album : Irresistible Bliss
Believe it or not, some guys are NOT into strip bars and they are still good, smart, decent, real men!!!
This is a pretty good article which tries to avoid the whole "getting a bunch of guys together ? automatic debauchery or d-bag festival" thing.
Although, i am a little disappointed they don't talk about LAN parties or video games. But, whatever...that's ok. At least, they're not insisting the bachelour party must contain nudity on the behalf of anyone other than the men participating...

Blues players eat, live and breathe off the blues and minor pentatonic scale. At the same time, its pretty easy to find yourself in the proverbial rut once you've run out of ideas because the harmony is so limited. Brad Carlton to the rescue again with Big Blues and Beyond, an intensive study program focused solely on morphing what you already know into a brand new palette of sounds and textures for electric blues guitar. Big Blues and Beyond will freshen up your vocabulary of single-note and polyphonic moves for both comping and soloing.
The good news is that Carlton will have you working with scales and techniques that are already very familiar to you; blues scale, minor pentatonic scale, blues composite scale, double-stops, triple-stops, pedal tone licks, barres, hammers, bends and slurs. Carlton will show you moves that are already right there under your fingers but just not yet discovered and utilized by you. For example, we all have a solid grip on a few go-to double and triple-stops, but Brad will demonstrate how to employ double and triple-stops across the entire blues, minor pentatonic and blues composite scale forms to produce fresh, great sounding fills, comps and solos. And because you don't need to learn a lot of new techniques, you'll be able to put these new ideas to work immediately.
As is usual, this Brad Carlton Guitar Lab intensive will open your eyes and ears to some really "Big Blues" ideas by drilling down deep with a singular focus for getting more with what you already know about the blues.
CONGRATULATIONS: Ste. and Jar.! Married at Tustin Hills Racquet Club in Santa Ana, CA on 16 May 2010. They first met at a stand-up comedy show...and since they love to laugh, why shouldn't they add a few laughs to one of the most important days of their life together?
One way you can make an occasion your very own is to project your personality/ies through each element of the wedding: from the colours, the venue, the menu and especially the ceremony. The following excerpts are actual examples taken from the ceremony:
"Seven months ago, S.J., Ste. and Jar.'s son, was born. Ever since, he has been their dear little monkey..."
"...may you both enjoy a long life of happiness together, with S...and may you always be like a family of deer crossing a prairie in the sunshine."
You don't have to settle for the usual, less-than-memorable ceremony. Humour does not detract from the seriousness of the commitment being made, nor does it make light of the person or persons being honoured. Your ceremony can, and should be, FUN, if you want it to be! Title: Syd Barrett - Baby Lemonade
Another brand new video, this time of Syd Barrett's 'Baby Lemonade' from his second and final solo album, 'Barrett'. 'Baby Lemonade' was written and recorded by Syd Barrett in 1970 and is the opening track on 'Barrett'. Dave Gilmour and along with Richard Wright produced the album, as well as performing guitar, bass, organ and piano on the album. The album takes a different direction away from the erratic style of 'The Madcap Laughs', with 'Barrett' adapting a more commercial sound, due to the influence of Gilmour and Wright. While 'Barrett' is a much more tighter and focused album, it still contains elements of Syd's bizarre nature.
The recording took less time to produce than 'The Madcap Laughs', and the final album was released in November 1970. Unfortunately, the album sparked no interest and failed to chart. Between 1971 and 1974, Syd Barrett attempted several music projects, including a band in 1972 called 'Stars'. The band was short-lived after only three live performances. In 1974, Syd Barrett recorded for the last time, recording only a few instrumentals before walking away from music forever.
Most of the images used in this video were photographed by Mick Rock in 1970.
I do not own the copyright for the audio or vision. This is a fan edit done under the 'fair use' provision laws.

Title: Laughter Amongst the generations
Sexy Model gives Quotes Vivian Kellie's Quote of the day today's Quote is from Henery David Thoreau Every generation laughs at the old fashions but religiously follows the new Henry Daid Thoreau
Henry David Thoreau (born David Henry Thoreau; July 12, 1817 May 6, 1862)[1] was an American author, poet, naturalist, tax resister, development critic, surveyor, historian, philosopher, and leading transcendentalist. He is best known for his book Walden, a reflection upon simple living in natural surroundings, and his essay, Civil Disobedience, an argument for individual resistance to civil government in moral opposition to an unjust state.
Thoreau's books, articles, essays, journals, and poetry total over 20 volumes. Among his lasting contributions were his writings on natural history and philosophy, where he anticipated the methods and findings of ecology and environmental history, two sources of modern day environmentalism. His literary style interweaves close natural observation, personal experience, pointed rhetoric, symbolic meanings, and historical lore; while displaying a poetic sensibility, philosophical austerity, and "Yankee" love of practical detail.[2] He was also deeply interested in the idea of survival in the face of hostile elements, historical change, and natural decay; at the same time imploring one to abandon waste and illusion in order to discover life's true essential needs.[2]
He was a lifelong abolitionist, delivering lectures that attacked the Fugitive Slave Law while praising the writings of Wendell Phillips and defending abolitionist John Brown. Thoreau's philosophy of civil disobedience influenced the political thoughts and actions of such later figures as Leo Tolstoy, Mahatma Gandhi, and Martin Luther King, Jr.
Thoreau is sometimes cited as an individualist anarchist.[3] Though Civil Disobedience calls for improving rather than abolishing government "I ask for, not at once no government, but at once a better government"[4] the direction of this improvement aims at anarchism: "'That government is best which governs not at all;' and when men are prepared for it, that will be the kind of government which they will have."[4]

It's not often that I'm stopped in my tracks at a wedding, but Alexander and Charlotte's wedding at Tynemouth and then on to Blackfriars Restaurant in Newcastle was a GREAT day, and I created some wonderful photographs for them to remember what a great wedding day it was with family and friends.... photographs coming soon ...
But, how about these fantastic hand painted tights? All the guests commented on them ...
One of Charlotte's best friends wore them and one of her best friends is the fashion designer Chloe Patience, one of the partners along with Mhairi McNicol in Be Baroque a recent winner in the Scottish fashion awards.
They also do hand embroidered tights ... so whether you are a guest or the bride, these look a GREAT way to stand out in a crowd!

Title: Sejayno | "Mazdaznan"
∆Sejayno∆
"Mazdaznan" ft. Ayako Kataoka.
Sejayno is Peter B, Carson Garhart, Severiano Martinez.
Mazdaznan is a syncretistic religious health movement based on Zoroastrian and Christian ideas with special focus on breathing exercises, vegetarian diet and body culture. It was founded at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century by Otoman Zar-Adusht Ha'nish, born Otto Hanisch. The word Mazdaznan derives from the Persian "Mazda" and "Znan", and is supposed to mean "master thought".
The Mazda car corporation coincides with the anglicized pronunciation of the founder's name, Jujiro Matsuda, who was interested in spirituality, and chose to rename the firm in honor of both his family and Zoroastrianism. The word Mazda derives from Ahura Mazda, the Avestan language name for a divinity exalted by the ancient Iranian prophet Zoroaster, as the source of wisdom, intelligence and harmony.

Title: Bach Prelude BWV 1006a on Baroque Lute
Sydney lute student Oskar de Mari-Jones plays the prelude from Bach's Partita BWV 1006a. Apologies for the poor sound quality - most of the nuance and dynamics are poorly represented. Perhaps a better quality video to follow?
The partita exists in a doube-stave score in Bach's hand, with a title page in another hand. The score and key of E major suggest a keyboard piece, but the simplicity of the texture and bass line suggest a lute piece or at least a keyboard piece in imitation of the lute. The mere fact that it works well on lute however, would have been enough for an 18th century lutenist (as we can see from bwv 997, 1000). My transcription definitely favors a natural sonority and ease of play over absolute fidelity to the score - as did 18th century lutenists when they transcribed Bach's works (see 995, 997, 1000). That said, when playing on the lute, one can at least get all the notes, which is a joy after reading this piece for so long on guitar. When Approaching the dance movements however, I try to keep to Bach's original voicing (which is very light, close-textured, and avoids low basses - these are characteristics of French Lute music and in my opinion this is no coincidence).
Comments welcome.
