Blog Title Graphics

These days, many many people are starting their own online blogs. Sometimes it's just a life journal. Sometimes it is a way to keep in contact with friends/family. And sometimes, the journal is about something more specific- political blogs, food blogs, scrapbooking blogs, some interest or goal of the blogger.

I don't know how things work with livejournal, but with blogspot and wordpress, you can add a title graphic. Sure, you can find many gorgeous layouts on the internet, that people have created. But the crown piece, the first thing the blogger sees- is the title. Many blogs just have some blocky text declaring their title.

Well, more and more people want something personalized, something custom, something... more interesting.

I've recently gotten a start on creating blog title graphics for people. My own, you can see, is not overly complicated. And yet, it is much nicer than a blocky "Save the Date Originals".

Back in Action

Greetings all; Now that it is just about August, the proverbial doors are open.

Those forms for submitting your information on the design pages are now enabled. Response times are back to 2-4 days.

New designs have have added here and there.

The "simple cards" section is now open. 5.5x4.25 inch cards, black ink designs. These can be printed on various types of card stock. Due to recent requests, I did include an option for recycled card stock.

The "etched CDs" section is now available, featuring some photographs of the various colors you can get your images imprinted on. These are blank rewritable CDs. This is a little different than printing on a CD, nor are there labels of any sort involved.

I have also added a page to advertise posters. Every once in a while, I receive a request for a movie-style poster for weddings, and so have an example or two of those on the page. This is another one of those products that can be used for a variety of needs, however.

A new sample page is available, so that people can order a wider variety of samples and also tailor their sample pack order more clearly towards the product they are interested in. There is a sample pack that is just about what different kinds of card stock you can get a few different products printed on.

The invitations page is still under construction. Many thumbnails of possible invitation designs have been added to the invitation page. A few of these images are now "clickable" and will take you to another page that lists some pricing and options.

Turtle Cake Toppers Update

I've written before about our idea to have turtles on top of our wedding cake.  I found these cutie-patooties, where else but on Etsy!  I contacted the seller, qtiff, and this March she'll be hard at work on our custom turtle cake toppers!!

Here's an example of a custom cake topper, clearly for a fellow reptile-loving couple.  The figures are made from polymer clay.

Beach related invitations

These invitations were created for a customer of mine. She ordered her save the dates from me, then came back later with an invitation idea. Her invitation idea was a custom project, and so it took a while for me to answer her emails. She was patient with me, and we went went through number of revisions. At long last, the end result was a 7 card invitation, plus response cards. Because this is a destination wedding, there was a lot of important and useful information to include.

The 7 cards are 5.5 inches square. Invitation and RSVP envelopes were printed. Because we went with a linen card stock, I did have a higher limit against how small I would make the text. Each card design is mainly text- a fun font for the titles, a more basic font for the information- and seashells.

Also because of the linen card stock, I recommended not going with a photographic cover image. The photo cover image -also created just for her project- that we considered using for the invitation cover card was something to tie in with the glossy front save the dates and thank you cards she ordered. The thank you cards (left) glossy front folded 5.5x4.25 inches. Generally for any designs involving photographic and full coverage graphics, people are happiest going with glossy cards.
