We've recently had the pleasure of covering a Destination Wedding on the island of Jamaica. We provided both photography & videography services for this couple and just received some feedback...

WEDDING: St. Regis Officiant, Ensuite in Dana Point CA!

Congratulations to Jenny and Sean, married 5 June 2010.

The couple's ceremony took place in their own suite at the St. Regis Monarch Bay resort, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Karma, the couple's Maltese/Shih Tzu, was handsomely dressed, and attended the wedding [please see photo, in the groom's arms!]. On the human side, only immediate family members were present, who had travelled from as near as Southern California and far as Washington D.C. and New York.

TRADITION: College Football's Rose Bowl and Prime Rib = the Beef Bowl?!

American society has so few ties to custom and ritual in this day and age.  That's why it's so interesting to see how sports and athleticism is the one area where tradition is not only expected, but it is also honoured and perpetuated.

An article from the Los Angeles Times wrote about the Beef Bowl, a five decades-long tradition of serving prime rib dinners in a fine dining setting to players of both teams competing in the Rose Bowl (on separate days, of course!). The two teams are invited in to a Los Angeles establishment to communally feast on a prime rib dinner with Yorkshire pudding, potatoes, salad etc.  Inevitably, the event turns into a eating competition each year.  (Here's a tip for you wagerers: supposedly, the team with the most amount of meat consumed is statistically significantly shown to become the winner of the Rose Bowl game...)

Graduation Time!

When you think of graduating students, you probably always envision spring. But there are a number of college students that graduate at the end of the fall semester.

This post is to show off a graduation announcement that is a step above your typical card. This is a 5x3.5 inch black gatefold with a shimmering champagne printed card, complete with a matching champagne seal. The printed design is simple, with the graduating year inside a graduation hat.

Wedding in Newport Beach, onboard ICON yacht

CONGRATULATIONS: Tracie and Kolby!

It was another fantastic weekend, with a lovely and intimate wedding aboard the Icon yacht in Newport Beach! For four hours, we were in the capable hands of our captain as he cruised us through the harbor.

Tracie and Kolby are two sweethearts who are teaching and writing in Maine, but grew up in Orange County. Their wedding was filled with family, friends, and lots of love.

CHRIS AND CATHERINE'S WEDDDING AT CRATHORNE HALL HOTEL NORTH YORKSHIRE 2009

I've recently been to talk with Catherine and Chris at Harrogate about their impending wedding at Crathorne Hall in North Yorkshire early next year.

They're a great couple and are intent in chilling out and having a great wedding day celebration with their closest friends and family, and they've had a few problems with selecting a wedding photographer.

Luckily, I convinced them that I'm the man to capture their day and they understand that as hard as I will work to create great images at their wedding, I want to enjoy myself too!!

So if you had 20th March 2009 in mind for your wedding - sorry, I now won't be available, I'll be at Crathorne Hall Hotel in North Yorkshire for Catherine's wedding to Chris!
