This is an amazing video created for a couple on their Wedding Day this past weekend. The videographers captured special moments at the Bridal Preparations and Ceremony. Then, the editor did his magic as the reception was taking place and voila, the gorgeous "same day edit" was created and later shown at the Reception, which was held at the newly renovated Imperia, Somerset, NJ. You don't understand how it makes us feel as visual artists to see the Bride get emotional while watching this video. The reactions from the Bride & Groom, family and friends made all of the hard work that went into this production truly worth it.

WEDDING: Private Home in Sun Valley, CA

CONGRATULATIONS: Anna and Khalid!

Amidst the curvy lanes of La Tuna Canyon Road, this private wedding included bellydancers, delicious Moroccan cuisine, and beautiful tents complete with pillows and hookahs!

The ceremony itself emphasized the couple's relationship. It was simple and to the point, without a great deal of mushiness, since physical affection is not usually displayed in either Bulgarian or Moroccan wedding traditions. The reception blended the bride's Bulgarian and the groom's Moroccan cultures.

Marcela started studying singing with Gloria Sopeño, and later on with Marisa Biasotti, Amalia Estéve and Maria Kallay. Parallel to her singing lessons she studies piano and solfeo with Hulda Mosatelli, musical language at the Juan José Castro de La Lucila musical conservatory, French, German and Italian diction with the maestro Esteban Collado (Theatre Colón in Buenos Aires)
During her adolescence she formed part of various different musical style vocal a capella groups and choirs, interpreting various symphonic-corals as a chorister and soloist: Mass in G by Schubert, Gloria by Vivaldi, Mass in C major, G, Bflat and Mozarts Requiem, amongst other and the chorus of La Opera Tosca by Puccini.

In 1996 she is received as a musical therapist in the department of medicine at the University of Salvador. Later she travels to Mallorca where she received singing classes from Eulália Salbanyá, and she gives a concert together with the pianist David Mohedano in Port Pollensa.
In July 2001 she participated in the international Balearic Island singing competition, imparting singing classes with Carmen Bustamente, repertory with Manel Cabero and corporal technique with Peter Mac Farlane.
In November 2001 she gives a lyrical concert at the Porteño theatre La Scala de San Telmo in Argentina, accompanied on piano by Miguel Erglis, interpreting works for camera and opera arias.
She sings along side the Benjamin Britton Orchestra under the direction of Martin Bascuñana together with the mezzo soprano Marisa Roca for the popular fiesta Dijous Bo.

In 2003 and 2004 she worked as a singing teacher at the Poyensa School of music in Mallorca. In 2006 she participates in the series of concert called Winters in Mallorca together with the concert pianist S.Bardbury in different venues and churches around Mallorca.
In Buenos Aires, in 2004 she gives a concert at the Stella Maris theatre together with the pianist Miguel Erglis and in January 2007 a concert at the Quinta Pueyrredón de San Isidro together with the pianist Claudio Santoroand and in 2008 in the Stella Maris theatre with musicians from the orchestras of the theatre of Colon in Buenos Aires Vieneses with the participation of the soprano singer Verónica Cerezo, Isabel, and Mariano Iguanzo under the musical direction of Ramiro Soto Monllor.
In 2008 she is invited to participate in the master classes of the great tenor Enrico Facini organised by the Mallorca music festival.

It's clear: fun with see-through stickers

A variety of clear sticker sizes are actually available here at Save the Date Originals. Some circular sizes can only be ordered at a larger quantity (100+). But small rectangular or square see-through stickers are available in many custom sizes at fairly low quantities.

From address labels to envelope seals, logos to monograms, clear stickers are fun. Apply them to cards, envelopes, boxes, candles... you name it.



With clear see through stickers like these, your best option is actually just to go with a black-ink design. Because the background will be see-through, let your paper provide background color.

If you do want to go with a color print on your sticker, just keep in mind that you will want to apply the sticker to a white or light paper/surface. Why? White/light ink colors are actually not available. If you get yellow printed on your see-through sticker, it will be very hard to see when the sticker is applied to a dark background!

WEDDING: Howard Johnson Resort, near Disneyland, in Anaheim, CA

These two came all the way from Edmonton, Alberta Canada!

Quite often, couples decide to have their own little destination wedding in conjunction with a vacation trip to California. In some ways, i like these ceremonies the best because it is just the couple and the officiant, with no extravagant reception and no relatives dragging the bride and groom from place to place.

In these long-distance cases, i'm usually unable to meet with a couple in person before the wedding. Trust is a majour issue, and i do my very best to assure the couple i will meet their every need. Sometimes, a phone call or two is involved, although in this particular case, the first time i ever met or spoke to either the bride and groom, was 30 minutes before the ceremony! i work closely with each couple via email to make sure their ceremony is a true reflection of themselves and of their love. For example:

"We are here near Disneyland, which is a significant place, because it was a family trip to the Magical Kingdom, that helped shape Stephanie into the person she is today. When Jason brought her flowers that day in the grocery store, it was the beginning of a very special story of love and friendship that has endured. It has taken some time and work to return to California, but here they are on their trip of a lifetime. What better place to publicly declare their love and commitment to each other?"

This was a very cool clip...Bride and groom provided us with their footage from the sky dive they did a while back, which happened to include some awesome footage of the actual "WILL YOU MARRY ME?"...This is a perfect example of why each and every couple should have their proposal on video...The guys who shot this did an excellent job. You couldn't pay me enough to jump out of a perfectly good airplane...LOL...

KERRY AND PAUL'S INTIMATE FAMILY WEDDING AT TYNEMOUTH

Kerry and Paul's wedding was going to be just the way I like my weddings - relaxed, chilled out and interesting with lots of opportunities to capture natural, happy images of them both enjoying a fabulous wedding day celebration with family and friends.

The weather was great all day - clear blue skies and fluffy white clouds - and although I would prefer slightly overcast, it's a lot better than wind and rain coming in sideways!

It was the second recent wedding I have photographed at Holy Saviours Church in Tynemouth and although there are restrictions on photography, the church itself is very nice inside and it also has a small pretty garden area with a nice lawn and shrubs for a few relaxed portraits.

Soon enough we were off to the very smart Arch Restaurtant in the Tynemouth for the reception and speeches with some wonderful food.

There was time to get a few photographs of Kerry and Paul too later on before we headed off for the evening reception by walking through the main street and cliff tops to Crusoes Café on the beach at Tynemouth Longsands.

There were a few additional guests arriving, but before they did Kerry and Paul and I and some of their closest friends gallopped down to the water's edge for some fun photos too.

The North Sea on the north east coast of England is never the most attractive location, but this evening the gods shined upon us all, the sea looked as blue as the Caribbean and the setting sun warmed us all up nicely and made for some great photographs to finish off a wedding album or print as a large canvas or acrylic.

A great day of celebration - and then it was off to Egypt for Kerry and Paul, with their proof prints and presentation box awaiting their return!

BRIDAL GATHERING - THE NORTH EAST'S BIGGEST BRIDAL SHOW AT RAINTON MEADOWS

Bridal Gathering is a BIG new wedding show being held at Rainton Meadows this Sunday, November 1st.

It's a bold step for the organisers - a first time event for the people behind the north east's newest wedding magazine Belle Bridal.

They have been really busy with this one and have matched it with a Christmas Show too to see how things go - but with over 100 wedding vendors / suppliers, it should be perfect for an afternoon out if you live anywhere in the north east.

It starts at 12pm and last until 5pm .. lots of goody bags of course .. a bridal fashion show ... a FREE champagne lounge area ... and fundraising efforts on the day will be for the Brother's In Arms charity.

I will be there of course - so pop along and say hello - and have a look at my fabulous San Francisco wedding books - which can feature up to 400 photographs from your wedding - brilliant when most books can only feature your favourite 80!

ALTERNATIVES: To Exchange Rings, or NOT to Exchange Rings?

Tattooed 'rings' may be the best option for you, especially if you want to avoid the cost, convention, maintenance and/or discomfourt of wearing a wedding ring.

Many people are led to believe (incorrectly, at least in California) that one must exchange rings as part of the marriage ceremony.  Not everyone likes to wear jewelry, even if it is your wedding ring. Do you work around electricity?  A metal ring may not be a good idea.  And what is a more permanent symbol of your love, than a tattoo?  You can't lose it, since you won't need to take it off to paint your house.  You also won't be able to take it off or throw it after an argument with your other half...  ;-|  

The act of tattooing rings to indicate betrothal or marriage is a fairly modern trend, but has gained popularity in recent times, especially in the UK and Europe. Ancient Egyptians would tattoo wrists and fingers to ward off illness and bad luck. Slaves' hands were sometimes tattooed to indicate ownership. Ancient Egyptian women have been found with tattoos on their bodies to promote fertility (from Ancient Egypt: Personal Ornaments website).

At a cost of about $100, tattooed wedding rings are an economical way to go, but may require some touch-up work down the line, especially as they fade and evolve with time.  The palm side of the hand is quite sensitive, pain-wise, and tattoos also tend to fade and blur faster on the palm side.
