Back in Action

Greetings all; Now that it is just about August, the proverbial doors are open.

Those forms for submitting your information on the design pages are now enabled. Response times are back to 2-4 days.

New designs have have added here and there.

The "simple cards" section is now open. 5.5x4.25 inch cards, black ink designs. These can be printed on various types of card stock. Due to recent requests, I did include an option for recycled card stock.

The "etched CDs" section is now available, featuring some photographs of the various colors you can get your images imprinted on. These are blank rewritable CDs. This is a little different than printing on a CD, nor are there labels of any sort involved.

I have also added a page to advertise posters. Every once in a while, I receive a request for a movie-style poster for weddings, and so have an example or two of those on the page. This is another one of those products that can be used for a variety of needs, however.

A new sample page is available, so that people can order a wider variety of samples and also tailor their sample pack order more clearly towards the product they are interested in. There is a sample pack that is just about what different kinds of card stock you can get a few different products printed on.

In the works:

The invitations page is still under construction. Many thumbnails of possible invitation designs have been added to the invitation page. A few of these images are now "clickable" and will take you to another page that lists some pricing and options.

REVIEW: A book about Southern hospitality and funerals

Here is how Pat Williams of the Conroe Courier in Montgomery County, Texas begins her review of BEING DEAD IS NO EXCUSE: The Official Southern Ladies Guide to Hosting the Perfect Funeral by Gayden Metcalf & Charlotte Hays:

"The first rule of funeral behavior for the women of the South, especially those near the Mississippi Delta, is that everyone must look good – both the dead and the survivors. The second rule deals with the amounts and types of food brought to the home following the service."

The remainder sounds like the book is an interesting read, filled with discussion, humour and history about the foods (and drinks!) and traditions of funeral-hosting in the South.

Lovey-Dovey Art For Sale on 20x200

20x200 has some *adorable* art for sale today here, but it's selling out fast! I normally fly through the 20x200 blog in Google Reader, but today this stopped me in my tracks.

The prints are hand-pulled letterpress prints by Dylan Fareed, and as the artist said "this is the last run for this print, ever."  This would be a great inspiration for your wedding invitations, or a sweet gift to a newly-wed couple.

The $20 edition is already sold out, but the $50 version (14"x11") is still available.

TYNEMOUTH WEDDING - PORTRAIT SESSION WITH CHARLOTTE AND ALEX

Pre-wedding portrait sessions are an important part of the build up to me covering your great wedding day celebrations.

Our photography session is usually 6-12 months before your wedding, and it's a time for us to be able to bond a little and get a feel for each other and for you to have some great photographs taken!

It's often the second or third time we have met and it's always good to spend some more time together - so that when it comes to your wedding day we're not strangers to each other and you can worry about the best man's drinking problem or whether your mum's wedding hat will fly away in the wind .... you won't be worrying about me and whether I capture the atmosphere and fun of your wedding!

This week I had a great time photographing Charlotte and Alex at Tynemouth, it was a little late, and the sun never made an appearance (no change there then ...) but we had a wander about and had a laugh and a chat and took lots of photographs.

I hope you agree - they're a great looking couple and I'm so looking forward to their wedding in Tynemouth and then on to Blackfriars Restaurant in Newcastle for the reception and evening celebrations!
