type="html">When picking music for our Catholic wedding ceremony, I wanted to the music to feel familiar to our guests (who are also mostly Catholic). I wanted the sung music to be attainable, so that our guests would join in singing the hymns. No super high notes, no super low notes, no confusing or fast rhythms. Singing is my favorite part of mass, so I wanted it to be a big part of our wedding!
The church we'll be married in uses the Breaking Bread hymnal, so I chose all of the sung music from there. That way, our guests could follow along if they weren't familiar. I made sure to put the page numbers in the ceremony program, using the online index. Since I didn't have the accompaniment book, I purchased and downloaded the sheet music for each song on the OCP website.
Most of the organ music is super traditional (Here Comes the Bride, etc). I was able to find all of the organ music for free online!
